Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Kerry Joseph threw for 219 yards and Dominique
Dorsey returned a punt 94 yards for a touchdown as Toronto held off Winnipeg,
19-11, at the Rogers Centre.
Joseph finished 21-of-35 with one interception for the Argonauts (3-3), who
beat Winnipeg for the fourth straight time in the regular season. Mike
Vanderjagt added four field goals while Jamal Robertson had 45 yards rushing
on 10 carries.
Ryan Dinwiddie completed 16-of-28 passes for 224 yards with a touchdown and
two interceptions for the Blue Bombers (1-5). Romby Bryant had four receptions
for 119 yards and a score and Charles Roberts had 66 yards rushing on 11
carries.
The Argos jumped on top when Vanderjagt, the former Indianapolis Colts kicker,
booted a 46-yard field goal midway through the first quarter.
The first big play of the game, a 94-yard Dorsey punt return, gave Toronto
some breathing room and a 9-0 edge after the ensuing conversion failed.
Another Vanderjagt field goal, this one a 37-yarder, put the Argonauts up 12-0
heading to the second quarter.
Winnipeg finally got on the board in the second frame when Alexis Serna
connected on a 39-yard field goal.
But, Vanderjagt added two more field goals of his own, one from 13 yards and
another from 44, to give Toronto a comfortable 18-3 cushion at the half.
The Blue Bombers got right back in the game during the third quarter after
Dinwiddie connected with Bryant on an 85-yard TD pass.
Winnipeg could only trade singles the rest of the way, however, as Toronto
held on to reach .500 on the season.

The 94-yard punt return by Dorsey was a career best...The 85-yard TD pass by
Dinwiddie was the longest pass play of the year for Winnipeg...Robertson and
Roberts both had season highs in rushing.
